Collection of five letters, 1818 Jan. 11-1827 Jan. 15, to Rev. Alvan Bond, written to him as a resident of Andover and Worcestor Mass. Includes a letter from Bond's parents, Sarah and William Bond, pertaining to family and financial matters. Other correspondents include professional colleagues and acquaintances Joshua Bates, Irah Chase, Samuel and Sarah Freeman. Their letters discuss Bond's academic and religious career, activities of mutual acquaintances in the church and in the academy, and family matters. Additionally includes five reciepts and two small notebooks, one recording personal expenses and the other containing a brief itemized list of silver and linen.
